Stockport NHS Foundation Trust would like to confirm that the Trust does not use Poly Implant Prostheses (PIP) implants.
This type of breast implant hit the international headlines after it was discovered that PIP implants were manufactured using industrial silicone rather than medical-grade fillers, meaning these implants may be more prone to rupture and leakage. These implants have not been used at Stepping Hill Hospital.
